St. Paul, Minn. – After months of having his progressive credentials questioned by DFL activists, Tim Walz was again passed over by leading progressive voices in the DFL with the SEIU Minnesota State Council and the DFL Progressive Caucus endorsing his opponents over him. The latest endorsement snubs come after Walz failed to secure the endorsement of NARAL-Minnesota and Our Revolution Minnesota, who endorsed both of Walz‘s opponents over him. Minnesota Jobs Coalition Legislative Fund executive director John Rouleau issued the following statement.
“Tim Walz‘s continued attempts to appease liberals aren’t working as DFL activists refuse to buy his extreme makeover. After months of pandering to the far-left while having his progressive credentials questioned by DFL activists for his ‘A-rating’ from the NRA, votes against refugees and vote to hold Eric Holder in contempt, Walz is stuck in limbo with a left-flank that doesn’t trust him and moderates and conservatives who know he is anything but.”
