St. Paul, Minn. – Minnesota Jobs Coalition Legislative Fund Executive Director John Rouleau issued the following statement in response to the Minnesota Campaign Finance Board’s findings regarding Rep. John Lesch (DFL-66B) using nearly $9,000 for purposes which “may not be classified as reimbursements for expenses allowed under Minnesota Statutes section 211B.12.” Lesch has received $25,695.91 in public money to his campaign account since 2010.

“Today’s revelations regarding DFL Rep. John Lesch’s misuse of campaign resources make clear that he has abused the public trust and is completely unfit to serve as our state’s attorney general. Lesch himself said ‘regular Minnesotans should always have the confidence to know that major players at the Capitol aren’t given preferential treatment.’ Lesch has clearly lost that confidence by acting like there is one set of rules for him and another for everyone else. His campaign for attorney general should end immediately. “
